Overview
Bat World Sanctuary, a leader in bat care standards and modern rehab treatments, is committed to stop the abuse and destruction of the bat population.  Founded in 1994, Bat World has created specific guidelines for bat education programs that are used around the globe. Bat World Sanctuary is accredited by both the American Sanctuary Association and The Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. Thousands of bats are rescued by Bat World Sanctuary annually and lifelong care is provided to bats that cannot be released back into the wild (including those that are orphaned, injured, confiscated from the illegal pet trade and retired from zoos and research facilities). Bat World Sanctuary is a 501c3 non-profit, all volunteer organization.
